In between the two very different worlds of Southern and Northern California, the Central Coast has its own feel and pace. More relaxed than either of it's neighbors, the Central Coast is good escape from either north or south.

The pools are the highlight of Heart Castle. Elegant and sublime they are not overdone like much of the castle. The Neptune Pool would be an amazing place to while away an afternoon.
The Roman Pool is the only pool I've seen that's even better than the outdoor Neptune Pool. Every time I see it, I fantasize about a late night swim in this pool with reflections of the light globes shimmering across the water.
Eberle is the kind of wine tasting experience I hope for. Not knowing anything about the winery, I came in with no expectations and the wine was great and the staff was friendly.
