London
I spent Christmas in London, visiting family. December days in London are cold and short, with it being dark by 4:30pm. The compensating factor for photographers is the light is soft almost all day since the sun never makes it too high in the sky.
This winter was the coldest in Britain in decades. Here I'm waiting for a bus. The bus was delayed due to the poor conditions. The wait was in vain. Although the bus did arrive, after only progressing about 100 yards in 20 minutes, the bus driver decided he would not be able to make it up the hill and ordered everyone off the bus. So I had to walk to home.
This dining hall oozes tradition and history.
Even though it was shortly before Christmas, most of Harrods
windows were decorated for the 70th anniversary of the
Wizard of Oz.
