London

I stopped over in London on my way to Egypt to visit my brother and his family. The weather was unexpectedly amazing being both warm and sunny which is unheard of for March. Having been to London before and seen the major sites, I could take a more leisurely approach rather than feeling compelled to visit all the major attractions.

I have a certain reverence for the Houses of Parliament since they so far predate the American system of government and our system clearly borrowed this one. The ornate Gothic building just adds to the feeling that this is a special place of great historical significance.
I'm quite pleased with how this image turned out. The older church church is distorted by the modern commercial center which is just the effect I was looking for.
I love how this image conveys the motion of descending down into the tube station.
