Santa Barbara
Santa Barbara is Southern California lite. It has the mores of Los Angeles but without the traffic and the sprawl. The coast is pretty and the Spanish architecture looks attractive, but for me there's not much to connect with. With every building looking a little too perfect, the look of the town feels manufactured.
Unlike the bland modern courthouses in most California counties, Santa Barbara's is an architectural jewel. It's a must see site for visitors.
The courthouse is still in active use and this is the hallway
to the court rooms.
