Chimpanzees are human’s closest relatives. Just looking at a chimp is enough to tell me that we share much with our chimp cousins.

Yesterday, I visited to the San Francisco Zoo to get some animal photography practice in before my safari in Tanzania. This black-necked swan is native to South America.

An unusually dramatic sunset for the summer at Panther Beach on Santa Cruz coast. It even rained for a little bit.

I’m a huge fan of old neon signs and was surprised to find out that San Jose has quite a few and many of the best ones are clustered along Santa Cruz avenue. I haven’t yet been able to figure out the reason for neon was popular for Santa Cruz Ave businesses. If you wan to explore the signs, check out this Metro article on San Jose’s neon.
