Ho Chi Minh City

Ho Chi Minh City, formerly known as Saigon, was a quick last stop for me before leaving Vietnam. Most of the sites I visited were buildings from the French colonial era, and they are some very nice-looking buildings. I also enjoyed seeing the historic Hotel Continental. While the city was renamed almost 50 years ago, I find Saigon to be the more evocative name since it connects the city to its long history.
