Banff National Park: The Bow Valley

The town of Banff lies at one end of the Bow Valley and the town of Lake Louise lies at the other. The Bow River snakes through the valley and the railroad follows the river. For most of the way, the Bow Valley Parkway follows both the river and railroad. The main route is the Trans-Canada Highway but the parkway is more scenic.
