Martin Luther King Jr Memorial

Visiting the MLK memorial was a moving experience for me. In a time of great political divisiveness and backlash against full civil rights for all Americans, the MLK memorial is a reminder about how the MLK and the Civil Rights Movement, pushed the country closer to its ideals. They did so against greater and more violent opposition than we face today. The memorial reminded me that progress is possible and much of the progress that country has made was done so against long odds.
