Mandu - Royal Palace Complex & Roopmati Pavilion

India with its long history has many impressive historical sites. Unlike many other countries, there are sites that are not well known but still very impressive. Mandu is one of these not well known but very impressive set of ruins. Mandu is in the state of Madhya Pradesh and is approximately 100km from Indor.

Mandu's ruins are spread out over multiple locations. The most impressive location is the Royal Palace Complex. The Jahaz Mahal is the gem of the Royal Palace Complex. Situated between two man-made lakes, the Jahaz Mahal is designed to look like a ship. The Jahaz Mahal is said to have housed the Sultan's harem of 10,000.
