Milan

Milan was the final stop on our trip and our departure point. The highlight of our visit was the Duomo di Milano, the city’s magnificent Gothic cathedral. I initially considered skipping the rooftop because I assumed the experience was mainly about the view over the city. After doing some research, however, we decided to buy rooftop tickets, and I’m glad we did. The tickets are expensive, but walking among the cathedral’s elaborate spires, arches, and sculptures offers a spectacular perspective that cannot be appreciated from the ground.
