Europe Fall 2012:

London Cemeteries

London is home to the "Magnificent Seven" Cemeteries. These are a group of seven cemeteries created in the 19th century to deal with the overcrowded parish grave yards that were fouling London's water supply. Several of these have been turned into nature reserves and have a great atmospheric feel with the tomb stones and monuments being overgrown. The most famous of the seven is Highgate Cemetery which I visited in 2009. This trip, I went to Abney Park and Brompton Cemetery.
