Venice

Upon seeing the Venice for the first time, my reaction is that the place can't exist and must be from another world. A city on the water and in the water feels like it a can't exist. Even once past the disbelief, Venice is a completely unique destination. I visited three islands: Venice, Murano and Burano. Venice even though it is full tourists feels like a functioning city. Murano comes off as 1/3rd glass factories and 2/3rds glass show rooms for tourists. Burano's highlight is its brightly painted buildings and it's worth the trip out to see them.
