One of the fun things to do in Sydney as a tourist is to see the harbour from the water by taking the ferries. The ferries are inexpensive esepcially compared to what tourists boat tours usually cost. Right across the water from Circular Quay, is Luna Park which is a hertiage amusement
park. Having an asumement part in such a prime location seemed suprising but reading the Wikipedia article on it, it's clear that the state government has take special effort to keep operating as a historical landmark.
