Miami and Key West

This was my second trip to Miami and my first to the Florida Keys and Key West. On this trip, I found Miami to be vibrant and cosmopolitan, a change from my prior visit in 2017. Miami and Southern Flordia are the best, well really the only option, to live within the United States in a tropical climate and not be located on a remote island. Hawaii is fabulous, but it's a rock in the middle of the ocean, 5 hours and anything.

I liked Key West as a vacation destination. It feels remote but not too remote. I didn't find it compelling enough to be a frequent destination for West Coast residents as it's far to get to, but I can see why it's popular with people who live closer.
