Norway - Stave Churches

Norway's stave churches date from the 12th to the 14th Century. Some are still in use and have been expanded and modernized over the years. Others are more original, and those are surprisingly dark inside due to a lack of windows. I found the most interesting aspect of the churches to be the combination of Christian and pagan motifs in the decoration.
