Hanoi

Hanoi is a chaotic but energetic city. We stayed in the Old Quarter which feels like it is at the center of things but also frenetic. The traffic is crazy and no one follows any traffic laws. Hanoi is the capital of the country and feels like it is the heart of the country even though Ho Chi Minh City is somewhat larger by population.
