Québec 2025:

Québec Countrysize

We visited several areas outside the cities. Mont-Tremblant was our stop after we left Montréal. Mont-Tremblant is a ski resort that is also popular for fall colors. I was surprised at the number of tour buses and how crowded it was when we arrived. Due to the crowds, I felt the area was overrated. We stayed the night in the resort, and the next morning, the resort made a better impression on me. We did the little in-town gondola three times the next morning, as there was very little line. The afternoon before, the line took over 15 minutes.. If you are going for a day trip, I'd recommend getting there early enough to beat the tour buses.

After Québec City, we drove north along the Saint Lawrence River. However, the leaves were mostly past peak, so we then headed to the Eastern Townships. The eastern townships were nice enough, but didn't wow me. I had hoped that rural Québec would have similar charm and quaintness to Vermont, which is only about 80 miles south of where we were in the Eastern Townships, but I didn't find the same charm.
