Sunnyvale Realty
The Sunnyvale Realty sign is was one of my favorite signs in Sunnyvale. However, today I drove down its street and the sign is the gone. A piece of Sunnyvale history is no more.
M is for…… Motel
The top of the Capri Motel’s sign. The Capri is located in Santa Clara, right on El Camino.
This was my first outing with my new D800E. The resolution is stunning and the camera is joy to use. But when it comes to size and weight, it’s a beast of a camera. I’ll still be using my D7000 when I need to keep gear weight and bulk down.
Lunch Time Excursion
Just a short walk from my office, the Redwood Shores library has a little café. I tried it for the first time today.
Cocktails at Paul and Harvey
I love neon signs so this Paul and Harvey sign always catches my eye when go to downtown Sunnyvale. I’ve never actually been inside. Perhaps I ought to try it out as the Yelp reviews are pretty good.
Fire Station, San Jose History Park
San Jose History Park has a bunch of cool old buildings from early days of Silicon Valley, before the silicon. This is the fire house.

Foggy Summer Solstice
The last rays of light on summer solstice shine over a San Francisco enveloped in fog.
Dragonfly
While wandering around the Gamble Garden looking for flowers to photograph, I came upon this dragonfly who was kind enough to remain in one spot while I photographed him.
After taking this shot, I thought I should write down the name of the flower but then I remembered in today’s SEO driven world, generically calling them white flowers attractsmore attention (searches) than the actual name. One of my most popular images is these ‘Red Flowers’.
