Electrical Boxes at Hill 88

Electrical Boxes on Hill 88

Hill 88 was a radar station in the Marin Headlands, which was part of the coast defense system that included nuclear Nike missiles.  This building has no roof but fresh paint which covered up much graffiti.   The whole site is a cold war relic and makes the visitor feel like they’ve stepped back in time.

Decaying Electical Box, Hill 88

Hill 88 was a radar station in the Marin Headlands, which was part of the coast defense system that included nuclear Nike missiles. Today the buildings have fresh paint and new roofs but little equipment left inside is decaying.

Waves at Panther Beach

Taken on my first outing to Panther Beach which is between Santa Cruz and Davenport on Highway 1.  Panther Beach is the most scenic spot I’ve seen between Santa Cruz and San Francisco.

This image is a composite of two photos I took in short succession.
