As I wandering around the Alcázar of Seville, I came across this most extraordinary room. The light is amazing in this basement chamber.
Banff has so much amazing scenery.
The warm weather this week in California has me thinking about summer. My favorite summer destinations are all in the Rocky Mountains, but it seems doubtful that traveling to national parks will be possible this summer.
Petyo Lake is one of the most stunning vistas in any of the national parks I’ve visited. I’ve been to this point three times and three times it’s been stunning. Banff is the prettiest place I’ve been in North America and Petyo Lake is one of the best views in Banff.
The first time I visited, I was taking my time and soaking in the scenery. A tour bus arrives. A bus full of Japanese tourists quickly exit the bus, hastily snap a their pictures and within five minutes have rebounded the bus and the bus pulls away. I found it incredible that anyone would only spend 5 minutes appreciating this vista but wanting to be able to take my time anywhere I want is why I prefer to travel independently.
Chihuly Garden and Glass is located right next to the Space Needle in Seattle. The artwork in the museum is stunning and well worth a visit if you are in Seattle.
This is image is from January 2018. In the winter, isn’t directly overhead so no light beams. But the canyon is still gorgeous.
The light beams into the canyon are stunning.
Antelope Canyon is a now popular tourist attraction. It would have been amazing to visit it 20 years ago when it was unknown and photographers could spend hours inside. This image is from my first visit in the month of May. My second visit was during January which is less crowded but doesn’t have the amazing sun beams.
Antelope Canyon is a photographer’s dream location. The light reflects in a gorgeous way off of the walls of this slot canyon. To add to the eye candy, in the summer when the sun directly overhead, light beams enter canyon.
